Dutch NT2 Courses
We offer NT2 group courses from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C1) level. Conversation skills and Dutch culture are integrated parts of the lessons.
Basic Dutch (A1)
For complete beginners with no prior or very limited knowledge of the Dutch language.
In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of the Dutch language and culture, as well as how to communicate at a basic level in Dutch.
This course is suitable as preparation for the Basic Civic Integration Examination Abroad (Basisexamen Inburgering Buitenland A1).

Depending on your learning needs, objectives and time availability, the course will approximately take 30 lessons of 60 minutes each.

Beginner Dutch (A2)
For students who have completed the basic Dutch course or have a basic knowledge of the Dutch language (A1 CEFR level).
In this course, you will learn the basics of the Dutch language and culture, and how to communicate more easily within a limited range of contexts and topics.
This course is suitable as preparation for:
- Civic Integration Exam A2 in the Netherlands (Inburgeringsexamen).
- CNaVT – Maatschappelijk Informeel (INFO) – A2

Intermediate Dutch (B1)
For students who can already use Dutch at A2 CEFR level and wish to take their Dutch language skills to the next level to further their studies or career.
The B1 level is required for people who want to enter vocational training (mbo) or for those who want to apply for a professional career in the Dutch labour market at vocational level.
You will develop the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in Dutch at the B1 CEFR level. You will expand your vocabulary on topics (such as experiencing the Dutch culture and society, building relationships, Dutch economy, art and literature) using a variety of authentic articles, videos and songs. You will consolidate your knowledge of grammar and learn to use more complex grammar structures.
This course is suitable as preparation for:
- State exam Programme I (Staatsexamen NT2 programma I)
- CNaVT – Maatschappelijk Formeel (FORM) – B1

Upper intermediate Dutch (B2)
For students who have completed the intermediate course, or those who can already use Dutch at B1 CEFR level.
The B2 level is required for people who want to enter higher education (hbo) or university studies (wo) or for those who apply for a job at an academic level.
In this course, you will learn how to communicate ideas on both concrete and abstract topics, and how to use the language with enough fluency and spontaneity to allow for easy interactions.
This course is suitable as preparation for:
- State exam Programme II (Staatsexamen NT2 programma II)
- CNaVT – Educatief Startbekwaam (STRT) – B2
- CNaVT – Zakelijk Professioneel (PROF) – B2

Advanced Dutch (C1)
For students who can use Dutch at B2 CEFR level.
In this course, you will learn how to communicate ideas on both concrete and abstract topics with increased fluency and spontaneity to allow for effortless interactions with native speakers.
This course is suitable as preparation for:
- CNaVT – Educatief Professioneel (EDUP) – C1
The C1 level is also the level required for the General Knowledge and Skills (AKV) test that doctors, dentists, pharmacists and other professionals in the medical field have to take in order to be registered in the BIG-register, should they want to work in the Netherlands.

Writing Skills
For people who wish to improve their writing skills and write more effectively and efficiently. In this course, you will learn how to get your point across and relay information clearly. In order to achieve this, you will learn about sentence and paragraph structure, and language use and style; and learn about common mistakes in grammar, spelling and style.
The content can be adjusted according to your specific needs. You can apply your newly acquired skills to any text type ranging from emails to reports and essays.
